Time to Pray

And the Lord said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me:
1 Kings 9:3

The Difference
I got up early one morning
and rushed into the day,
I had so much to accomplish
I didn’t have time to pray.

Troubles just tumbled about me,
and heavier became each task.
Why doesn’t God help me I wondered.
He answered, You didn’t ask.

I tried to come into His presence,
I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided,
Why didn’t you knock?

I wanted to see joy and beauty,
but the day toiled on grey and bleak.
I called on the Lord for the reason,
He said you didn’t seek.

I woke up early this morning
and paused before entering the day.
I had so much to accomplish,
that I had to take time to pray.

How many blessings will we forgo this week because of little or no prayer.
Did we forget that Jesus taught us, “without me you can do nothing”?
Or the admonition, “be strong in the Lord”?

Prayer still works. Prayer still changes things. Prayer still avails much.
God admonishes us to “pray always, pray without ceasing”.

God will always take care of His children, but some blessings only come through prayer.
Ask, seek, knock today. God’s special blessing for you today is only a prayer away.
Amen!

God Bless
Pastor
