Tears

There is one thing that is common to man throughout the ends of the earth. TEARS.
There can be many things that cause tears. That's why when children come running to us the first thing we ask is, “what’s the matter”. Maybe it is physical pain caused by a bee sting. Or perhaps an experience that caused them fear like thunder or lightning. Some come home from school in tears because they were shunned from a group.
As we grow older, many times it's the loss of things that have grown dear to us that causes fear. Loss of health. Not being able to do the things we would like to do. Becoming dependent, a burden instead of a blessing. Maybe it’s loss of friendship, or the passing of a loved one. On and on the list goes.
Some have said that tears are a sign of weakness. But rather it’s on the contrary, they are a sign of strength! They express that you are still brave enough to face the experiences of life with sensitivity. We are created in the image of God. God has emotions. As you read through the gospels you come across experiences that caused Jesus to shed tears. Our tears are just as important to God.
Psalm 56:8 Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
God is keeping record of “sensitive” hearts while we live here on the earth. Share your tears with God, cry unto Him.
Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
God knows every tear you shed. He is the Great Shepherd. He knows His sheep by name. God bless. Be brave.
